100% Completion for GSOC 2007 Projects
The evaluations for Google Summer of Code 2007 have come in and I am happy to report that this year, for the first time, we have a 100% completion rate. Thanks to the mentors for keeping up with their projects despite their busy schedules and to the students for doing some great work and following through to the end.
The students have all posted their work to the Google Summer of Code project pages and they are available for download (links below). All the students have expressed interest in continuing to work with the OSCAR project, so download their code and send them some feedback!

Google Summer of Code 2007 Project Applications due March 24
Google is moving fast with their Google Summer of Code program. Now that organizations are finalized, students have only one week to put in applications! The deadline is Saturday (this week!) March 24th.
Mentoring Organizations Participating in Google Summer of Code 2007 Selected
OSCAR has been accepted as a Mentoring Organization for Google Summer of Code 2007. The current list of accepted Organizations can be found on the GSoC 2007 web site.
A list of possible project ideas is posted on the OSCAR GSoC 2007 idea page. Don't let this idea limit your creativity, we'd love to see applications with exciting new ideas for the OSCAR community!

Google Summer of Code 2007
OSCAR is going to apply again to be a mentoring organization for this years Google Summer of Code. As we are an optimistic bunch, we would like to hear your ideas for OSCAR related projects for the program. Just remember the project span is one summer of full time work for a person who may or may not be familiar with OSCAR before hand. Please bring up your suggestions on the oscar users mailing list.
OSCAR 5.0 released
OSCAR 5.0 has been released!
After one year of development and just in time for SuperComputing 2006 the new release of OSCAR is ready!
Many thanks to all who contributed to this version with ideas, requirements, developments, alpha and beta testing, bug reports and fixes!
